The 8th Count's Dress Code & shoe requirements
*COMPETITION TEAM MAY HAVE DIFFERENT REQUIREMENTS. PLEASE SEE INSTRUCTOR*
Combo classes- Any color Leotard and tights with optional tutu or any activewear.
Shoes: Black Capezio Mary Jane tap shoes recommended, however, any Mary Jane style tap shoes are okay but NO TIES & any brand classic pink ballet shoes (ballet shoe ties should be knotted & then cut off).
Hair should be pulled off of face.
Ballet (ages 9+. Under 9 see combo classes)- Black leotard and pink or tan tights. Hair in a bun.
Shoes: Any brand classic pink ballet shoes.
Jazz/Lyrical- Form fitting activewear. Tights and dance shorts encouraged. Hair in a ponytail or bun.
Shoes: Slip on dark tan or caramel jazz shoes.
Tap (ages 9+. Under 9 see combo classes)- Form fitting activewear (not covering feet). Hair in a ponytail or bun.
Shoes: Any brand black lace up tap shoes (Bloch or Capezio brands highly encouraged).
Hip-Hop- T-shirt or tank top, shorts, leggings or sweatpants. All of the above apparel is acceptable as well. Clean gym shoes (meaning they are not worn outside) should be worn to class until a recital shoe is assigned. Hair should be pulled off of face.
Acro- Form fitting activewear. No loose clothing, as it can be dangerous. Hair should be in a ponytail or bun.
Shoes: No shoes required; barefoot.
Dance shoes should NEVER be worn outside of the studio. It will ruin the shoes, as well as damage our floors.
