F.A.Q.
Is there a sibling discount:
Yes, siblings get a discount of $5/day. In order for us to maintain the highest level of safety, allow only a limited number of Study Squad members, and sustain high standards of arts enrichment and supervision, we are unable to extend any additional discounts.
What are your safety protocols:
We have extensive safety and cleaning procedures and remain in strict compliance with the CDC recommendations.
What happens if my child is sick, there is a case of COVID-19 in my child's group or school resumes:
Due to our strict safety policy, if your child is sick they will not be permitted inside Study Squad. Days absent will turn into credits that can be used towards Study Squad, any camps at 8th Count or 8th Count Class tuition. Credits are transferrable to family members and friends as well. We will prorate Study Squad if in-person school becomes available again so you can return to school if you desire. If a case of Covid-19 happens within a Study Squad group that entire group must quarantine before returning to Study Squad.
A credit will be applied and no future payments will be charged until it is safe for your student to return.
What does my child need to bring to Study Squad:
Students should bring a laptop or tablet, headphones, charging cable, pad of paper, pencils, and any other school supplies they'll need for their assignments and online education through their school. We will supply a table, chair and quiet study space.
In addition, they should bring a clearly labeled water bottle, a snack and a lunch.
Do I have to be enrolled at The 8th Count to sign up for Study Squad:
No, you do not have to be a current student to sign up! Enrollment is on a first-come-first-serve basis with priority going to children who intend to enroll on a consistent monthly basis. It is highly important to us that the groups do not intermingle and we keep the same students together for the duration of the school year. A waitlist will be kept should a student leave a group, and we will replace with the next child on the waitlist.
